English Garden MP Rotator Retrofit
One of our clients has a beautiful English Garden that he takes a tremendous amount of pride in. No matter how much effort he put into the management of the site, his turf had chronic dry and wet spots and his water bill kept rising.
We diagnosed his issue as having poor coverage and retrofitted his turf Spray Valves with low flow MP Rotators. Now his lawn looks better than it ever has and he has reduced his water consumption by 32%, a dollar amount more than 5 times the cost of the retrofit.
Edge Control

Most of the sites that we see have issues of edge control with their Rotors on turf valves. It is not uncommon to find rotors spraying out into the streets. Therefore, one of the first things that we do when we visit a site is adjust the arch of the rotors down to 160 degrees. Often the solution isn’t to upgrade to the best available irrigation technology, it happens to be as simple as making sure that the water goes where it is supposed to.
Creative Irrigation
One of our clients manages a shopping center with many parking islands. One island is a spray valve with an equal mix of Roses and Lavender. They have had problems with watering for years: If they watered for the needs of the roses, they would drown the laveneder, but if they watered to the needs of the lavender, they would burn up the roses.
We took a look at the area and came up with a creative solution when we found bubblers at the base of 5 year old sycamore trees that had been there since the establishment period on a separate valve. We did a quick retrofit and turned the tree bubblers into a drip line for the roses,. Now both the roses and the lavender are thriving.
It may not be the ideal irrigation design, but it is the Ideal WaterAware Retrofit, because we worked with the existing irrigation system to do whatever it takes to put the water where it needs to go. That is the Wateraware way.
